VirtualSim-Heli - Privacy

What data do we collect?
When the launcher checks for updates, the web server logs the IP address that
accessed it, the same as any website you visit. Nothing else is collected. The
new versions of the game are stored on the website and downloaded from there.

Why is it collected?
In case the website gets hacked.

How do we use the data?
We don't. If the site is attacked, the attacker's IP is reported to the
authorities and their ISP. YOUR data is completely ignored and wiped on a
regular basis.

Why does the launcher phone home?
It's just an auto-updater. When you run Launcher.exe it downloads
https://moonbunny.foo/simcopter/version.txt to see if there's a newer version,
and if there is, it downloads and installs it. It doesn't send anything about
you or your computer - it's an ordinary web request, the same as opening that
link in a browser.

If you don't want it to do even that much, launch the game directly through
bin\VirtualSim-Heli.exe. The game itself doesn't phone home to check for the latest version.
